The Ministry of Energy hosted an event on the Role of Our Country’s Energy Sector in the Restoration of Sovereignty in accordance with the Action Plan on declaring 2025 as the Year of Constitution and Sovereignty in the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Deputy Energy Minister Samir Valiyev congratulated energy sector employees on the occasion of Power Engineers’ Day, celebrated on 20 October. It was noted that with the restoration of sovereignty, further strengthening the political and economic independence of Azerbaijan and ensuring full control over our national resources, in particular, the energy sector has become one of the leading pillars of this process.
In the speeches, the importance of green energy projects implemented in our liberated territories, where the legal force of the Constitution of Azerbaijan was fully restored after the glorious victory in the 44-day Patriotic War under the leadership of the victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief President Ilham Aliyev, the expansion of the use of renewable energy sources, the role of Azerbaijan in ensuring regional energy security, and the significance of the Constitution in the construction of a legal state.
The event was attended by staff from the Ministry of Energy, as well as employees of the Energy Regulatory Agency and the Azerbaijan Renewable Energy Agency under the Ministry.
