Saudi Arabia’s ACWA Power, the UAE’s Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company PJSC), and Azerbaijan’s SOCAR Green have established the “Caspian Breeze” Consortium to develop offshore wind energy in the Azerbaijani sector of the Caspian Sea.
The consortium will focus on implementing 3.5 GW of offshore wind power projects.
This initiative follows the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding during COP29, aimed at boosting cooperation in the development of large-scale wind power generation in the Caspian Sea.
