Azerbaijan and Uganda have discussed prospects for future cooperation in the oil and gas sector, mining industry, and hydropower.
According to Azerbaijan’s Ministry of Energy, these discussions took place during a meeting between Deputy Minister of Energy Kamal Abbasov and Uganda’s Minister of State for Foreign Affairs John Mulimba, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, the sides reviewed prospects for developing cooperation between the two countries in the energy sector and other areas, emphasizing the importance of mutual support and experience sharing to strengthen bilateral ties.
The Ugandan minister was briefed on Azerbaijan’s activities in oil and gas, electricity, renewable energy, energy efficiency, and ongoing projects.
The potential of Uganda in the oil and gas sector, mining, and hydropower was also discussed.
The parties further exchanged views on other issues of mutual interest.
