Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Parviz Shahbazov met with Nan Yi, President of China’s Universal Energy Company. At the meeting, the discussions focused on the construction progress of the Gobustan Solar Power Plant, the first auction-based renewable energy project with a capacity of 100 MW. As part of the construction of the station, today the installation of the first panel and the progress of construction work were highly appreciated.
The possibilities of expanding cooperation with Universal Energy were evaluated during the discussions. Modern solar energy technology, as well as the company's experience in vanadium-based batteries as a long-term and safe energy storage technology, prospects for the application of this technology in green energy export projects were considered.
